DESCRIPTION

The SILKY SUGOI is a state-of-the-art, must-have professional arborist saw with a razor-sharp and ultra-fast cutting curved blade in either 330mm, 360mm or 420mm lengths. Nicknamed by arborists as the "Tree Tiger" due to its super aggressive tooth pattern and yellow-orange tiger stripes on the rubber handle, each Sugoi has a progressive teeth configuration with smaller teeth at the handle end of the saw to assist in starting the cut quicker, and larger teeth at the end of the blade to provide more aggressive cutting as you progress through your cut.

The saws also come with a custom high-visibility plastic scabbard that can be attached to the belt or lower leg. And the curve blades cut faster than a straight blade by diving into the wood fibers quicker and more effectively.

*Sugoi - the Japanese meaning of the word Sugoi is "amazing" and "awesome" and is used to express admiration and excitement.

MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these saws are made from the highest quality Japanese steel and are coated with a hard electroless nickel plating (a uniform, hard, corrosion-resistant finish that uses a chemical reaction rather than electricity during manufacturing), they may still be affected by rust and resin if not properly maintained.

We recommend you clean these blades with warm soapy water and a light brush to remove tree sap and small wood chips after each use. For anything heavier (or if you've let residue build up over time), our Yanipika Sap and Resin cleaner should return your blade to good working order.

After drying your blade thoroughly, we also recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil for added protection and then store your tool away in a moisture free place.
