Tadafusa Knives



Made by Tadafusa, a family-owned company in Sanjo, Japan, our genuine hand forged Japanese kitchen knives are available in either traditional Japanese Bocho Kobo style (layered high carbon blue paper steel and soft stainless steel) and Hocho Kobo (a European style constructed from SLD steel and soft stainless steel).

You may be a traditionalist and prefer the Japanese Style with its "nashiji" blade finish to stop food sticking as you slice it, or the more traditional European polished finish. Either way, both styles feature chestnut wooden handles for moisture resistance and their natural antibacterial properties. 

We recommend keeping them stored in a wooden knife block or something similar, for love, longevity & easy access.

When will I get my order?

All our orders are sent via courier (within NZ only). Your order should arrive within 1-2 days if you live in an urban area (it may take a few more days to reach you if you live rurally).

We also offer free freight on orders over $250 (with a few exceptions).

Whats your Return policy?

If you're not 100% completely satisfied with your purchase we will happily accept your return and provide you with a refund to the value of the goods (provided the item is return undamaged and in it's original packaging).

Do you stock replacement parts?

If an item has replacement part it will be listed under the "Replacement parts" tab under the product details.

If there is nothing under this tab, then the item is either a part itself or the product does not have parts.
