DESCRIPTION

The SILKY HIBIKI 210mm RYOGA saw is a double-sided carpentry saw designed to both Rip-cut and Cross cut. It gives the user ultimate quality coupled with terrific features, and the taper-ground chrome-plated blade allows a fluid, straight cut as the teeth are actually wider than the mirror polished blade.

The Hibiki is versatile and widely used for various woodworking tasks, including cutting notches and crosscuts and is ideal for fine furniture making when creating intricate cuts and wanting a smooth finish.

The Hibiki also comes with a plastic case for easy storage and carrying on your belt.

*Hibiki - the Japanese meaning of the word Hibiki translates to "sound", "echo" or "resonance", conveying the idea of a sound that carries. It can also imply a lasting impact or influence.

MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these saws are made from the highest quality Japanese steel and are coated with a hard chrome plating (a plating that is applied to the blades surface to enhance durability and longevity and to reduce friction during the cut), they may still be affected by rust and resin if not properly maintained.

We recommend you clean these blades with warm soapy water and a light brush to remove tree sap and small wood chips after each use. For anything heavier (or if you've let residue build up over time), our Yanipika Sap and Resin cleaner should return your blade to good working order.

After drying your blade thoroughly, we also recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil for added protection and then store your tool away in a moisture free place.
