DESCRIPTION

The SILKY ZUBAT LARGE TEETH saw is Silky's best-selling professional, heavy-duty, curved-blade hand saw and is suitable for all pruning tasks and for cutting large branches. A soft, molded-rubber handle holds the high-performance curved fast-cutting blade that fits securely inside its custom fitted scabbard with detachable belt holder.

The curved blade generally cuts faster than a straight by diving into the wood fibers quicker and more effectively.

Please note with the Zubat 390mm saw, the sheath is a slightly different design and shape to the other sizes and does not currently come with a locking roller system.

*Zubat - the Japanese meaning of the word Zubat loosely translates to "the sound of cutting by a very sharp sword".

MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these saws are made from the highest quality Japanese steel and are coated with a hard electroless nickel plating (a uniform, hard, corrosion-resistant finish that uses a chemical reaction rather than electricity during manufacturing), they may still be affected by rust and resin if not properly maintained.

We recommend you clean these blades with warm soapy water and a light brush to remove tree sap and small wood chips after each use. For anything heavier (or if you've let residue build up over time), our Yanipika Sap and Resin cleaner should return your blade to good working order.

After drying your blade thoroughly, we also recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil for added protection and then store your tool away in a moisture free place.
