DESCRIPTION

The SILKY GOMTARO ROOT CUTTING saw is a beautifully balanced saw, and like all other Silky Saws uniquely combines a high-performance blade with a comfortable and durable rubber handle. When the cutting gets tough, the Gomtaro gets cutting! And with the great combination of the blade and rubber handle that really sticks in your hands, this saw is ideal for all pruning tasks.

The straight blade on the Gomtaro allows for precise cuts in limb removal and is great for general tree care. The blade is specially hardened to deal with cutting roots in and around the dirt and ground and features a tooth style that cuts through fibrous root systems efficiently.

MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these saws are made from the highest quality Japanese steel and are coated with a hard chrome plating (a plating that is applied to the blades surface to enhance durability and longevity and to reduce friction during the cut), they may still be affected by rust and resin if not properly maintained. 

We recommend you clean these blades with warm soapy water and a light brush to remove tree sap and small wood chips after each use. For anything heavier (or if you've let residue build up over time), our Yanipika Sap and Resin cleaner should return your blade to good working order.

After drying your blade thoroughly, we also recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil for added protection and then store your tool away in a moisture free place.
