DESCRIPTION

The SILKY GOMTARO FINE TEETH saws come in a range of lengths, designed to suit every pruning need. The fine teeth blade is also great for cutting bamboo. When the cutting gets tough, the Gomtaro gets cutting! And with a great combination of the high-performance blade and comfortable and durable sure-grip rubber handle that really sticks in your hands, this saw is ideal for all pruning tasks.

The straight blade allows for precise cuts in limb removal and is great for general tree care. And the fine-tooth option is great for carpentry projects and ideal for precise cuts on dry or hardwood, as well as bamboo.

*Gomtaro - the Japanese meaning of the word Gom means "rubber (handle)" and the word Taro traditionally means the "first born son" in a family. Together the word Gomtaro embodies Silky's commitment to tradition, family honor and cultural values.

MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these saws are made from the highest quality Japanese steel and are coated with a hard electroless nickel plating (a uniform, hard, corrosion-resistant finish that uses a chemical reaction rather than electricity during manufacturing), they may still be affected by rust and resin if not properly maintained.

We recommend you clean these blades with warm soapy water and a light brush to remove tree sap and small wood chips after each use. For anything heavier (or if you've let residue build up over time), our Yanipika Sap and Resin cleaner should return your blade to good working order.

After drying your blade thoroughly, we also recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil for added protection and then store your tool away in a moisture free place.
