MAINTENANCE

Although the blades on these tools are made from high-carbon Japanese steel, to keep them working effectively, cleaning them after each use will prevent dirt and debris form accumulating. We also recommend sharpening the blades when necessary to ensure optimal cutting performance. Regular maintenance will keep your tools sharp making sure you have clean and precise cuts every time.

If residue has built up over time, our Yanipika Sap and Resin Cleaner should return your blade to good working order. And after drying, we recommend applying our special purpose Mineral and Camellia Oil to help with extra protection from rust and corrosion.

After your maintenance is complete, store your tools away in a moisture free spot.
