FILE - Feather Edge

The 100mm long SILKY FEATHER EDGE FILE has been especially designed to sharpen the very fine teeth of Japanese handsaws. However, not all Japanese handsaws can be sharpened so make sure you speak to your stockist before you begin.

Most Silky Saws have Impulse-Hardened Teeth, which means the teeth of the blades are heated instantly and hardened. This hardness makes them very difficult to actually sharpen. Looking at the specs of each Silky Saws shows you which ones are not Impulse-Hardened and therefore sharpenable.
